Marie Leu is the founder of Avila Weddings and is a Dallas, Texas–based wedding photographer with over 15 years of experience. She also owns Kayde Rose Photography. 

Her work is rooted in creating cohesive, timeless imagery with a refined and modern perspective, shaped by a deep understanding of both design and the wedding industry.

Through Avila Weddings, Marie brings together thoughtfully produced editorials that give photographers access to meaningful, high-level work. Her vision centers on creating environments where creatives can grow their portfolios, expand their opportunities, and step confidently into the next level of their craft.

Lia Leu is a Dallas, Texas–based photographer and the creative assistant behind Avila Weddings, playing a central role in the design and execution of each editorial. With a refined eye for light, composition, and detail, she helps shape the visual direction of every shoot—developing color palettes and thoughtfully researching modern bridal trends to bring a fresh, elevated perspective to each experience.

In her own work, Lia captures weddings with a style that feels both romantic and editorial, blending soft light, intentional framing, and genuine emotion to create imagery that is timeless and visually striking. 

As part of the Avila Weddings team, her ability to both design and document ensures each editorial is not only beautifully styled, but captured with clarity, cohesion, and purpose.

Sam Cross is the owner of Cross Photography LLC, a Massachusetts-based wedding photographer serving destinations across the U.S. and internationally. After a career as an attorney, she transitioned into photography to pursue a more creative and fulfilling path. Her work is rooted in capturing refined, meaningful imagery that blends a nostalgic perspective with an editorial eye—preserving moments with both depth and intention.

As part of the Avila Weddings team, Sam leads social media and marketing, ensuring Avila’s work is thoughtfully shared and positioned before photographers, venues, and industry professionals. She focuses on expanding visibility, building meaningful connections, and extending the reach of each editorial beyond the experience itself.

With over 16 years of experience, Susy specializes in luxury hair and makeup for destination weddings, quinceañeras, and milestone events. Her work blends refined technique with a deep sense of connection, creating timeless looks that radiate confidence.

From bridal styling in Italy’s Villa Catignano to backstage at New York Fashion Week, Susy has brought beauty to life across unforgettable settings. As a Top 50 Editorial Makeup nominee at the One Shot Hair Awards and a lead artist with Adore Me by Victoria’s Secret, she represents artistry at the highest level.

Mari is the floral designer behind Fleurs De Sol, known for creating floral compositions that feel both artful and naturally expressive. Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, her creative foundation was shaped early through music, dance, and visual arts, as well as time spent in her father’s garden and local botanical spaces—experiences that continue to influence her approach to design.

Before founding Fleurs De Sol, Mari built a career in finance, mortgage, and litigation, developing a strong foundation in client experience and operations. Her transition into floral design was a natural evolution, deepened during the pandemic when she rediscovered the restorative and expressive nature of working with flowers. Today, her work reflects a balance of structure and artistry—creating designs that feel elegant, romantic, and thoughtfully composed.

As part of the Avila Weddings team, Mari plays an integral role in shaping the visual atmosphere of each editorial, ensuring every floral element enhances the setting with cohesion, depth, and beauty.

Kate and Mike Grutsky are wedding professionals specializing in photography and cinematography, bringing a seamless and collaborative approach to documenting weddings and are based in Arizona. Since 2020, Kate has captured weddings with a focus on authenticity and artistry, while Mike creates films that complement her work with a cinematic, story-driven perspective.

Together, they approach each celebration with an attention to detail and a sensitivity to the moments in between—preserving each wedding in a way that feels romantic, modern, and enduring. Their work ensures that every experience can be revisited with the same depth and emotion long after the day has passed. 

As part of the Avila Weddings team, they play an essential role in capturing each editorial through both photo and film, ensuring the experience is documented with clarity, consistency, and care.

Veronica is the Operations & Editorial Assistant at Avila Weddings, working closely alongside Marie to support the planning, coordination, and execution of each editorial. Based in Texas, she plays an essential role in ensuring every detail is organized and each experience unfolds seamlessly behind the scenes.

With a strong sense of initiative and a desire to grow within the wedding industry, Veronica supports both the creative and operational aspects of Avila Weddings—bringing attentiveness, reliability, and care to everything she is part of.
